The Heusinkveld Sim Shifter Sequential is a durable and compact sequential shifter system. Using a ball spring resistance system, shifting requires an early peak force after which resistance drops just as in real cars. The shifter comes with various lengths of shifter levers as well as shifter knobs, allowing for maximum adjustability.
Many racecars use a stick-activated sequential gearbox. Heusinkveld presents a durable and compact sequential shifter solution which emulates the feel of a real sequential shifter and can be set-up in many different configurations.

  • It has specifically been designed to mimic short throw sequential shifters. These can often be found in junior formula racing cars.
  • Using a ball spring resistance system, shifting requires an early peak force after which resistance drops. This simulates the feeling as if your gearbox slides into the next or previous gear when the lever is engaged.
  • The shifter is fitted with soft end-stops for the lever, resulting in a relative low amount of noise when shifting through gears.

Designed with CAD and FEA, all structural parts are CNC precision laser cut steel with a bead blasted or Black fine-structured powder coat finish. It is strong, compact and incredibly durable.

Our Handbrake has retained the overall lever dimensions of its predecessor, yet can handle a higher force and does this with a much more compact base. This makes installation in your simulator much easier.

Adjustability

A 2-stage spring system provides resistance when pulling the lever. An initial metal coil spring simulates the pad-to-disc gap and/or slack on the handbrake cable. The travel and preload on this spring are adjustable. You can also remove this initial coil spring if you wish to do so.

The main loading on the brake is simulator by compressing the Heusinkveld proprietary elastomers, giving an unprecedented progressive brake feel. A total of 3 elastomers are provided in order to set a soft, medium or stiff handbrake feeling.

The lever can be set in a horizontal or vertical position. Per position there is a fine-tune adjustment up to 26 degrees to set the exact position of the lever.

If you use the included optional adapter plate (which allows for easy mounting onto aluminium profiles), you have up to 22,5 degrees of freedom to set the yaw of the handbrake. This can greatly enhance the ergonomics of your simulator, allowing you to pull the handbrake straight towards you from a multitude of mounting positions.

Sensors & Output

The lever actuates a 120kg load cell, resulting in up to 22kg of actual force measured at the lever. The measurement of the handbrake force is linear. Using Heusinkveld SmartControl software, you have complete freedom to set custom non-linear output curves.

The electronics of the handbrake are integrated inside the handbrake base. The system as a whole has passed EMC compliance testing, guaranteeing a stable output signal. A USB cable is supplied with every handbrake in order to connect it to your pc.

Heusinkveld MagShift is a large, GT-style sequential shifter packed with extra features. The compact base-unit houses the innovative magnetic shift system which simulates the feel of an actual gear clicking into place.

Adjustability

The magnetic shift system is 3-way adjustable. The overall force, upshift force and downshift force can all be set individually. This for example allows you to set a firm upshift and soft downshift if you wish to do so.

Set your preferred peak force anywhere between 4,5 and 11kg. At the firmest setting you’ll be able to simulate the shifter forces as experienced in real race cars.

The graph shows the shifter force for any position of the lever at the softest, medium and hardest MagShift setting.

Sensors & Electronics

Opto-electronic sensors are used to detect shifts. This means that there is no wear on electronic components, ensuring reliable operation for years to come. The system is plug-and-play, after connecting MagShift via USB you can immediately assign functions in your favorite simulator software.

Mini button box

Be in control with the 3 extra buttons in the base of the MagShift. Buttons can be assigned to any available function in your favourite simulator software.

Extra functions can be unlocked when you install Heusinkveld SmartControl software. With SmartControl, you can set up to 10 fully customizable outputs using the lever and the 3 buttons. You can trigger multiple outputs simultaneously, delayed or independently from a single input.

Improve your comfort while driving with the Heusinkveld Rest Pedal. Made out of 4mm laser cut stainless steel, this footrest provides a lot of strength both in the longitudinal and lateral directions.   • This Elastomer Kit allows you to upgrade you Sim Pedals Sprint brake pedals to our latest injection molded thermoset brake elastomers.
  • The feel of your brake pedal is critical for your simulator experience.     • A much more progressive brake feel. When applying force to the brake initially there will be more travel. Then the brake pedal feel gradually but very clearly stiffens.
    • Firmer bump and rebound characteristics. Especially on rebound (eg. when you decrease the force you put on the brake) a smaller decrease of brake force is required for the pedal to start moving back to its starting position.
    • Further improved durability. Extensive testing has shown that these new elastomers have a near zero failure rate and show no performance degradation even after 1 million cycles.
  • We’d like to stress that this is an optional upgrade. Earlier spec brake rubbers will also serve you very well for years to come, albeit with slightly different performance characteristics.
INCLUDED PARTS

The Sim Pedals Sprint Elastomer Kit contains the following components:

  • 1x 19mm hard elastomer.
  • 1x 19mm soft elastomer.
  • 1x 28mm soft elastomer.
  • 1x 37mm soft elastomer.

The length and the hardness of the elastomer (soft/hard) is printed on the side of the elastomers.

All other components of the brake rubbers stack (such as the black discs and spacers) should be re-used from your original Sim Pedals Sprint brake.

COMPATIBILITY
  • This Elastomer Kit is compatible with all versions of the Sim Pedals Sprint and the Sim Pedals Sprint – Team Redline Edition.
  • Before purchasing the Elastomer Kit, please check whether you already have the new spec elastomers.     MORE INFORMATION
    • Within the Upgrade Kit, the new controller box and part of the rubber stack assembly are pre-assembled. You must still install/integrate these assemblies into your current Sim Pedals Ultimate pedal set.
    • All other components come as individual parts. You have to do the installation of the new parts into the existing pedals yourself. This will take approximately 30 minutes. Tools to perform the installation are included in the Upgrade Kit.

    With the Sim Pedals Sprint being able to cope with high brake loads, a sturdy mount to your simulator rig is an absolute must. If you do not want mount the pedals directly to your rig but want to put them on a baseplate first, we offer an optional rigid mounting solution. Slotted mounting grooves allow for easy adjustment of individual pedal positions. The height-adjustable heel plate lets you optimize your driving ergonomics.

    • The Black Edition styling has resulted in a significantly different appearance compared to the regular Sim Pedals Sprint. All metal profiles have a RAL9005 Black fine-structure powder coat or a bead blasted semi-gloss metallic look. Red styling cues can be seen on the metal coil springs.
    • When operating the Sim Pedals Sprint near their maximum force capability, they need a very sturdy mount to your rig. If you want to mount your pedals to a baseplate first instead of mounting them individually, our Sim Pedals Sprint Baseplate is your product of choice.
    • With the Sim Pedals Sprint being able to cope with high brake loads, a sturdy mount to your simulator rig is an absolute must. If you do not want mount the pedals directly to your rig but want to put them on a baseplate first, we offer an optional rigid mounting solution. The Sim Pedals Sprint baseplate allows for flexible positioning of individual pedals and also comes with an adjustable heel plate.
    • With the brake of the Sim Pedals Sprint being able to cope with up to 65kg of force, standard pedal mounting plates of rigs often show excessive flex under these loads.
    • This baseplate helps to create a solid platform to mount the pedals on your rig. The baseplate assembly consists of multiple elements: A pedal plate on which you mount the pedals, a height adjustable heel plate as well as two brackets which are used to secure the baseplate to an underlying frame.
    • Mounting hardware is supplied to mount the pedals to the baseplate, as well as hardware to mount the baseplate to a 6mm thick underlying plate.
    ADJUSTABILITY
    • Pedal plate : The baseplate mounting points for the pedals are slots allowing for lateral adjustment of individual pedals. The dimensions of these lateral slots are 29mm for the brake and 24mm for the throttle and clutch. Every single pedal can also be adjusted 12,5mm backwards and forwards through the slots in the pedal feet themselves.
    • Heel plate : The heel plate on the Sim Pedals Sprint Baseplate is height adjustable. You can either put it in the default position (0mm elevation), or use spacers to raise it. Two types of spacers (20mm and 40mm) are supplied in order to put the heel plate in an elevated position.
    COMPATIBILITY
    • This baseplate is only compatible with our Sim Pedals Sprint product.
    • The mounting holes on the brackets are compatible with TM T3PA and T3PA Pro (235mm) pedal sets. Six mounting points on the brackets are provided in total, giving plenty of options mount the baseplate to aluminum profiles or create your own drilling template to install the baseplate to your rig.

    • The baseplate assembly consists of multiple elements: The main baseplate on which you mount the pedals, as well as two brackets which create ground clearance for the pedal bolts and nuts and provide mounting space for the pedal controller. The main baseplate element is 10mm thick and will show zero flex under maximum load.
    • We offer 2 color option: Black (fine structured powder coat) or Silver (bead blasted aluminum).
    MOUNTING
    • Depending on your rig, you have the option to use the straigth/parallel brackets or angled brackets. Both bracket types are supplied with every baseplate. The angled brackets are specifically designed for rigs which come with a proprietary pedal mounting plate which is inclined towards the seat.
    • Our angled brackets tilt the Sim Pedals Ultimate Baseplate by 15 degrees. This offsets the default plate inclination from your rig creating a horizontal mounting platform for your Sim Pedals. If your rig has an angled pedal deck, this will also elevate the position of the pedals, enhancing ergonomics and resulting in a more realistic driving position where the pedal box and seat are at a more level position relative to eachother. The images show both types of brackets, as well as a schematic showing various seating positions and the appropriate bracket type.
    • Both sets of brackets are compatible with G25/G27 mounting holes, allowing for easy installation on many available simulator rigs. Alternatively, the brackets can also be mounted to the side of the baseplate in a wider layout.
    • Every baseplate comes with a set of bolts and nuts to attach the pedals to the baseplate and mount the baseplate to your rig. Next to mounting holes for your pedals, every baseplate also features slots to position the Sim Pedals USB-controller.
    COMPATIBILITY
    • The Sim Pedals Ultimate Baseplate is suitable for our Sim Pedals Ultimate+. It can also be used for the Sim Pedals Ultimate (non + version) and the Sim Pedals Pro.
    • The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ Baseplate is NOT compatible with the Sim Pedals Sprint or Sim Pedals Racecentre. For the Sim Pedals Sprint baseplate, please click here.

    Overview

    The Heusinkveld Sprint pedals have a strong, compact and highly adjustable design with the main parts made out of CNC precision laser cut steel, intended for your home-use simulator. Mathematical models were made to accurately calculate pedal travel and force curves, predicting with great accuracy how each pedal behaves in different configurations.

    All metal profiles either have a Black structure powder coat or a bead blasted semi-gloss metallic look.

    The pedals include all new concepts for bearings and pivot points in order to minimize unnecessary play. Automated testing routines have been used to simulate up to 1 million duty cycles.

    Durable load cells measure throttle and clutch position and force applied to the brake. Unlike designs with rotary potentiometers, load cells provide true linear output in relation to your pedal output. They are insensitive to dust and dirt and do not wear out, resulting in unmatched accuracy and durability over time.

    Custom developed and EMC tested electronics make sure each pedal responds instantly and accurately in your favorite simulator software. The included SmartControl software allows easy configuration of deadzones, brake force and customize (non-linear) pedal output curves.
